Designing
a new communications link? Micropath 2001 allows you to calculate antenna
centerlines with the click of a button. In this example, the necessary
antenna heights are calculated in 10-foot intervals. Based on this example,
an antenna 50 feet high at Site A would require an antenna 60 feet high
at Site B in order to clear the critical point at 2.26 miles. Note that
this clearance is with respect to the Fresnel zone, F = 0.6, rather than
the signal beam itself. You can then select any height combination simply
by pressing the select button in the last column of any row. |
