With
Micropath 2001, calculating rain outage is as easy as selecting a model
and a region. In this example, the ITU model is used to calculate rain
outage for the region within which the path resides. As the EIRP / Fade
Margin screen shows the anticipated outage at 32.0 mm/hr is zero seconds
per year. 32.00 mm/hr represents the maximum recorded rain rate for this
region. Based on the current fade margin this worst case will not cause
your system to fail. Not sure which region to use? Micropath 2001 makes
it easy to find the region simply by clicking on a map. For the ITU outage
model Micropath 2001 includes maps of the entire world. For the Crane
outage model maps of the United States are supplied. |
